Happy 2016! Happy 2016! Happy 2016!
I wish you all a very Happy New Year!
I am so excited to get back to school, hear about each student's break, and continue learning each day. I hope you have had a relaxing and enjoyable winter break with family and friends. My family enjoyed a healthy balance of family and friends time, traveling, and relaxation as well.

-Emails and information will be coming soon regarding winter conferences (February). As we get closer to scheduling conferences, please let me know if you'd like assistance with the process. I am more than happy to help!
-Students will continue to focus on their music performance songs. The performance is on Thursday, January 14 at 6:30pm. All 3rd graders will meet in the small gym (the gym next to the gym where we meet for Phy. Ed.). The performance lasts approximately 30 minutes. After it is finished, you may pick up your student in the small gym.
iPads Will Be Coming Home!
Students will begin using the app SCHOOLOGY in class, to access assignments and math homework. We'll work through the steps together. It's our goal to have students use iPads at home once a week to do their math homework.
Submit Photos of Your Kids Reading for Read-a-Thon!!
One of our most anticipated events of the school year, the annual Read-a-Thon, begins in January! Once again we will be featuring a collage of Forest Hills students and families reading.
What you need to do...
Snap a picture of your child, your family, or even your pet reading between now and the end of winter break. The more creative, the better! Then email photos to eeskubic@gmail.com or drop off a copy of your photo in an envelope labeled “PTO READER PHOTOS” at the school office. Photos will not be returned. Photos should be approximately 4x6 inches and must be turned in by Wednesday, January 6. Pictures will be posted on the PTO bulletin board during Read-a-Thon in January. Students love finding their photo in the collage, so don’t forget to send yours!
