REPOST- Athletic Events and Extracurriculars
The highest priority for CCPS is keeping schools open to in-person learning in the safest, healthiest way possible. However, it is also important, as a part of the Bayside Conference, to ensure a full, safe competitive season for student athletes. In order to achieve this, the following decisions have been made:
- In high school sports, the first home game played will be designated as Senior Night.
- Spectators will be limited for all competitions.
- For all home competitions, each student-athlete will be allowed no more than two spectators. (Schools will finalize and communicate this process.)
- All spectators will be required to wear face coverings and remain socially distanced from those outside their households.
- No concessions will be available at this time.
- Visiting teams will not be allowed to bring spectators at this time.
Regarding Marching Band:
- In-person outdoor practices will resume beginning February 13.
- Field shows will be performed at Varsity football games.
- The procedures for spectators listed above will also be in place for Marching Band students.
Regarding other extra-curricular clubs and activities, plans are currently being developed and should be finalized by March 1, with an expected start date of March 15.

Summer School Opportunities for Students Survey
Prom 2021
I regret to share with students and families that we will not be able to hold Prom this year. While we are able to open for limited in-person learning under strict protocols to prevent the spread of Covid, we know that gathering large groups of students for social events will not be possible this year. Please know that this decision was not made lightly or without considerable disappointment on the part of everyone involved.
I understand that private events may be organized by parents or students, and the school has no control over that happening. However, please be aware that the school’s name, logo, email, website, and/or social media accounts cannot be used to promote any private event.
As we move closer to graduation, I will be working with class officers and the class advisors to organize activities that ensure the Class of 2021 is honored and celebrated in as many ways as safely possible.
Senior Spotlight
SENIOR T-SHIRTS
Senior t-shirts are available at the school. Please see Mr. Sousa if you need to pick up your shirt. If you are not returning, Mrs. Reed will be making home deliveries in the coming weeks.
HOMECOMING
Our homecoming ceremony will be held at halftime during the March 19 football game. Plans are in the works! You will be sent a ballot to vote for homecoming attendants during the first week of March. More details will be coming soon.
CAP AND GOWN ORDERS
All students and families who have yet to order have been contacted via email multiple times. The price of the cap and gown unit is $58.25 (tax included). I will still send reminders, as all orders need to be finalized by April 1, 2021.
Four ways to order:
www.jostens.com - pay with credit card (in full or 3 equal payments)
Call 800.JOSTENS (567-8367) - pay with a credit card in part or in full
Mail order form to Jostens - pay by check, money order, credit card; can order now and pay later
Send Mrs. France (france.bernadette@ccpsstaff.org) the height and weight of your senior. She will place the order. THIS IS FOR CAP AND GOWN ONLY. Payment can be made at a later date.
GRADUATION
CRHS will hold graduation on Thursday June 3 at 6pm in the stadium behind the school. The rain date will be Friday June 4. Please remember that as conditions and restrictions change, graduation details may change as well. An email from Dr. VonDenBosch was shared with families last week.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of the advisors (sousa.michael@ccpsstaff.org and france.bernadette@ccpsstaff.org). We may not have all the answers right now, but we are working hard to make this a successful senior year for all!!!
