2020-2021 Registration
We are thrilled to be able to offer you the opportunity to register your child early for the 2020-2021 school year beginning today, April 13, 2020! We hope you will find this feature convenient for you and your family to take care of registration details online. Although this school year will come to an end differently than we all imagined, we are hopeful that we will be able to begin the 2020-2021 school year as we normally would with our traditional back to school events.
Please note: families of incoming kindergarteners that already have other students enrolled at DCSC can enroll their kindergartener in the system the same way as outlined below. If your child attended our Little Warrior Learning Center Preschool, they should already be on the application. Graduating seniors do not need to close anything out in Infinite Campus.
The registration process is used to update and verify all information for our students, and to collect all of the necessary "paperwork" for sports, clubs, etc. At the end of the registration process, there is a page with yes/no buttons for these documents. Now that paper copies are no longer distributed, it is very important that you complete the registration.
In order to register your student for the upcoming school year, you will need a Parent Portal account. If you do not have a Parent Portal account, you will need to create one which will require an activation key. Please contact your child's school via email for instructions on how to obtain an activation key and directions for setting it up.
If you already have a Parent Portal account, please login to access the online registration. (If you have forgotten your password, please contact your child’s school via email and they will process requests in the order received.) Select "More" on the sidebar in the Parent Portal and then select "Online Registration." When you click to start your registration, all of your Household, Parent/Guardian and Emergency Contacts should pre-populate for you. You will have the opportunity to make changes if necessary. Walk through the steps to register your students and submit the application.
If you have any questions throughout the process, please reach out to your child’s school. With the current school closure, we have limited office hours and staff. Please be patient as we work to assist you and first contact your child’s school via email:
North Elementary - northoffice@danville.k12.in.us
South Elementary - southoffice@danville.k12.in.us
DCMS - msattendance@danville.k12.in.us
DCHS - hsattendance@danville.k12.in.us
If you do not receive a reply within 24 business day hours, please contact your child’s school via phone. Please note: North, South and DCMS offices are only open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on eLearning days and are closed on waiver days. The DCHS office and Administration Office are open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Although online registration is currently available for the next school year, free and reduced meal applications for the 2020-21 school year will not be available until early July. Further information will be sent out when the 2020-21 free/reduced meal applications are released from the USDA. Please refrain from reapplying for free/reduced meals until this time.
Online applications will be the preferred method of applying because they are received and processed immediately. Paper applications will still be available in the front office of your student’s school or at the administration office later in the summer.
Direct certification letters will also be mailed out at this time to notify you if your student automatically qualifies for free or reduced meals due to SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, or foster status.
If you are in need of assistance outside of the school meal program, visit https://www.in.gov/fssa/dfr/3164.htm to apply for SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, HHW, or HIP benefits.
Thank you for choosing Danville Schools! We are excited to prepare for the 2020-21 school year and can't wait to welcome you and your child back in August.
