Friendly Reminders

We hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend! Listed below are a few friendly reminders.

Please be diligent about washing your child's masks nightly if they wear the same one each day. We are noticing that masks are being chewed on and found on the bathroom floors.

If you have not already, please have your child bring a picture of their family to school. You will most likely not be getting this picture back. The students will share their family picture with the class! We are excited to hear all about their families!

Please only send your child with one toy for recess. Thank you for understanding.

Our classrooms are a little on the cooler side. You may send your child to school with a small jacket if you would like.

We Are Learning...

Reading: Identifying uppercase and lowercase letters. Identifying the front cover and title of the book.

Writing: write a story with a picture and retell it with the beginning middle and end.

Math: Counting to 30, counting each object in a set, and recognizing the colors yellow and green.

Social Studies: Identifying and explaining different community helpers around the community.

What you can do at home!

  • Continue to read with your child every night. Let your child tell you about the pictures in the book!
  • Practice counting objects with your child at home. You can also practice identifying letters!
  • Lastly, practice with your child on how to tie their shoes! This will benefit both the students and the teachers.

Thank you all for making this a great year so far! As always, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us. We hope you all have a great week.
