Football: The ENMS Knights travelled to Maple Creek MS to take on the Bobcats missing several players due to injury, but new players stepped up and filled the gaps. In 7thgrade action, QB Keegan Mallott filled the void and played well. Running the option alongside RBs Rowan Zolman and Kainon Carico, the Knights moved the ball well. Mallott ran for 65 yards and a TD, and also threw a TD pass to TE Brett Christian. The Knights fell to the Bobcats 28-12.
The 8th grade team fell in a hole early but settled in and played very well in the second half. QB Anthony Deyo ran the option well, gaining 134 yards and 2 TD’s on 16 carries, accompanied by 43 hard yards from RB Garner Owens. Deyo also threw for 115 yards and a TD pass to WR Riley Meade, hitting six different receivers with passes. The Knights scored well in the second half, but fell 50-26 to the Bobcats. The Knights are next at Leo next Tuesday.
Cross Country: The Knights cross country team had an excellent week in action! The knights hosted both Woodside and Carroll on Wednesday. The knight continued to show improvement and success going up against the two other NHMLC powerhouses. The prior Saturday the boys took 2nd place at the West Noble invitational! Both boys and girls placed well and had a host of ribbon awards as well as the trophy for the team and a Congrat’s to Coach Starkel and Coach Ferguson for the coaches plaque!
Volleyball: Both Blue and Gold volleyball had a full week of action. The Blue team fell in close matches to Norwell. Turned around and defeated a talented Harding team on Thursday in 2 games each! The Gold team was on the road and played tough opponents Monday and Thursday dropping the matches, but showing the continued improvement and plan to finish the season on a strong note.
Football: At Leo on Wednesday
CC: At Dekalb on Wednesday and At Carroll Invite on Saturday
Volleyball: Gold: At Indian Springs Monday and Home Vs. Hamilton on Thursday
Blue: Home vs Carroll on Tuesday and at Indian Springs on Thursday
