Buzzer Readers

It's time for our Buzzer Readers Program with Georgia Tech!

Starting from October 1st-31, record the number of pages you read at home. Turn the form in by November 1st and receive free tickets for you and your family to attend an upcoming Georgia Tech Women's Basketball team.

Pennies for Patients

Have your child bring in their change to donate towards research into childhood cancer. Pennies for Patients is going on the rest of the entire month of October. So check your pockets and purses for pennies to send to school to show how pennies can go a long way in helping children.

Race2Read

It's back! Race2Read!

How does it work? Starting October 10th, Read at home with your child, go to the Race2Read app through myBackpack or as an app on your Smart phone. Earn badges as they go.

LOK schoolwide goal is 461,363 minutes! Let's go Panthers!

Read to the Final Four

Attention 3rd grade parents!

NCAA is looking for 3rd graders to use their reading skills to earn tickets for them and parents to attend the NCAA Fan Fest where they will be honored at a special ceremony. Official contest starts in November, but warm up reading is no on MyOn. Make sure your 3rd graders are reading great books through MyOn on MyBackpack!

Talk With Me Baby (0-4yrs old) Parent Workshop

Our Second Session of Talk with Me Baby will be held on Friday November 1st. If you have children in your house 4 years and younger, come and learn how to begin their journey in literacy at home.

Class Pass @ APS

Keep your child's reading stamina & fluency up by visiting the library and checking out books!

Remember all they need is their APS Network ID and password

Students can check out books at ANY Fulton County Public Library as long as they know their APS network information allows them to check out electronic books online at the the library website & app.

Room Parents Needed!

Looking for Room Parents for 2019-20 school year!

Some duties include:

  • organize class parties
  • organize Teacher Appreciation Week
  • Recruit & coordinate and assist volunteers for class and school events
