I want to give a shout out to the teachers and staff at NBHS that make our school so great! This week is Teacher Appreciation Week, so please take a moment to send an email, card, social media post, or reach out in one way or another, to a teacher or staff member at NBHS that made a difference in your child's life! We would like to thank the parents and community/church organizations that have volunteered to bring food and treats in this week to bless our staff. We appreciate you!

NBHS Student Council Announces Students of the Month

Student of the Month for April: Lily Pidcock

My favorite part of the day is to see her in the hallway. She is friendly with peers and always greets me by name with a smile. She is the first person to volunteer to help others when they are struggling, especially students in the jr. high. In addition, she has supplied the District with a steady stream of information about National Honor Society. She has put a different spin on monthly stories to get the word out about what NHS does and how members are active in the classroom and community.

Student of the Month for May: Dylan Cook

Dylan is a student who comes with a positive attitude each and every day for class. He exemplifies what it means to be a Pretzel through his positive attitude, inclusion and encouragement of classmates, and respect for his teachers!

Spanish Dual Credit Class Teaches Their Last Lesson for the Year.

Ms. Kennedy's Dual Credit students' presented their last lesson for Ms. Burke's 6th grade. They taught about Cinco de Mayo, and Ms. Burke and Ms. Kennedy agreed it was their best lesson. The game they played was a spin off of hot potato called sombrero caliente. They passed around a sombrero while music was playing. In the sombrero were questions about the lesson. When the music stopped they had to answer the question in Spanish. They had a lot of fun with this. We really enjoyed our time with Ms. Burke's students this year. Also, students ended the bulletin board project with a lesson on Cinco de Mayo for our high school students.

NBHS 22.23 Yearbook Ordering Information

Click here to order your 22-23 Yearbook: Jostens Yearbook Order

The 20-21 Yearbooks have been ordered and we are still waiting on arrivals. I know it can be frustrating, but there's been a lot of communication back and forth with Jostens regarding this and we are working to get them in ASAP. The 21-22 Yearbooks are almost completed and will be in by the end of the semester.

I really appreciate everyone's patience with the yearbook, and after this year we will be back on track with everything! Please reach out if you have any questions!

Thanks again!
