From the Principal
Greetings,
It is finally the big day for Seniors. Today is Graduation and we are so excited for the 200 Seniors that will be graduating this afternoon.
Today we began collecting Chromebooks back from underclassmen. If your child did not return their Chromebook and charger today, please make sure they return it as soon as possible to their 1st block teacher.
Next week is the last week of school. We will have half days on 6/8, 6/9 and 6/10. All students that will be promoted to the next grade will be treated to a Promotion Day Celebration on 6/9.
That's all for now. Now it is time to head to the stadium.
Until Next Time,
Mr. Leitgeb
Yearbook Update
School Lunch Update
Beginning in the 22-23 school year, students will begin to be charged for lunches. The National School Lunch program will no longer receive the funding to offer free lunches to all students. It will be imperative that anyone that qualifies for Free and Reduced Lunches to apply beginning in July. More information will be sent out then. Thank you.
Senior Picnic
On Tuesday, we began our week long celebration by having a Senior picnic. Students had the opportunity to enjoy some Kona Ice and various games on the football field. Even though the weather was a little warmer, the students enjoyed getting together one last time.
Senior Walk
Our Seniors had the opportunity to take one last lap around the school in their cap and gowns. After their lap, our Seniors went to Gilpin Manor, Thomson Estates, Holly Hall, Cecil Manor and Kenmore Elementary to say goodbye to where it all began. It was a great way to end their public school careers.
CCST Graduation
Congratulations to our 55 Seniors that received their certification from the Cecil County School of Technology on Tuesday night. Elkton's own Antonio Brown was selected to give a speech to represent the Senior class. He did a wonderful job capturing everyone's appreciation for the School of Technology.
College Signing
Congratulations to Ainsley Jackson for signing on to play softball at Cecil College next year.
