The Roaring Twenties
"From bust to boom"
Although glamorous, there were some negative aspects of the 1920s...
The Russian Revolution
While WWI was occurring, Russia had some problems going on at home... a revolution was happening. A newly formed government focused on government control of property was gaining popularity by a group called the Bolsheviks. They eventually overthrow the Russian government and create a new nation, the Soviet Union. This effected the U.S. because it instilled fear in Americans that communism would spread around the world and become popular in the U.S. Due to this, blackmailing others who they "thought" were communists became a frequent occurrence, which can be seen as a "negative" component of the Roaring 20s.
