Bob Fosse was born June 23,1927 in Chicago, Illinois. Ever since he was a little kid he loved dance, so his parents enrolled him in formal dance training. Throughout his teenage years he worked in a local club as a professional dancer. When he graduated Highschool he left the dance world behind and joined the Navy. After the Navy Fosse starred in Kiss Me Kate where he caught the eye of director George Abbott and choreographer Jerome Robbins. Fosse choreographed a broadway show that George Abbott directed called Pajama Game.
