Mr. Dayton's SEL Tip 😌
Dear Armstrong Families,
As you know, the C on our R.O.C.K.S. matrix is for Cooperative. During the break, encourage your child to be cooperative by helping out around the home, cleaning up any mess they may make, and using a gentle tone when communicating with family members. This will create a calmer environment for everyone!
Thank you,
Mr. Dayton

Bucks County Technical High School Information
Hello, Parents and Guardians!
Armstrong Guidance hopes you find this message well. We have some exciting news to share with you about Bucks County Technical High School (BCTHS) for 8th grade students.
Our primary goal is to make this journey as smooth as possible for you and your child. It's essential to note that while BCTHS is indeed an exciting option, it's not the sole path to high school success. Truman High School offers a wide range of educational opportunities, including after school clubs, dual enrollment courses, and AP classes. Our mission is to meet your child's needs and support their growth throughout their educational journey.
Let's talk about the process of applying for BCTHS:
1. Getting Started:
Your child's path to BCTHS begins with the application. This application can be found on the BCTHS website, which can be found by clicking here, or in the Guidance Office at Armstrong. Applications will not be available until 11/10/2023.
The essay includes an essay section that must be handwritten to show your student's unique and individual creativity and perspective.
2. Submission Details:
The completed application should be physically delivered to BCTHS. Please mark your calendar of the submission period, which runs from Monday, November 27, 2023, to Friday, December 1, 2023, during the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
If you encounter any challenges during the submission process, don't hesitate to reach out to the counselors. We are here to help!
Once the application is submitted, an application number will be assigned. It's important to understand that this number will be used for the lottery drawing to determine the order of application review. However, it does not guarantee admission.
3. Lottery Drawing and Exciting News:
The application lottery drawing is scheduled for Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 9:00 AM at BCTHS.
You and your student are not required to be present during the drawing, but can attend. If your student plans to attend the lottery, please send in a note to school to excuse his or her absence.
The results of the lottery drawing will be announced on the following Monday, December 18, 2023. To receive this news, contact the Pupil Services Office at 215-949-1700, ext. 2976.
4. Questions?
- Please feel free to contact your student's school counselor. You can find who your student's school counselor is and their contact information by clicking here.
