AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS AROUND THE DISTRICT
Hello WNESU community!
This week marks the 4th week of After-School Programs (ASP) at Bellows Falls Middle School, Central Elementary School, and Westminster Center School! It also marks the first week of After-School Programs at Saxton's River Elementary School. We are unable to provide After-School Programs at Grafton Elementary School at this time but we hope to have a solution in the near future.
We have an incredible staff and enrollment is full at most of the sites (with active waiting lists). We still have openings at the Bellows Falls Middle School. If you are interested in signing up, please contact Sierra Patterson the BFMS ASP Site Coordinator.
This fall, ASP are collaborating with the Grafton Nature Museum and the Rockingham Public Library. We have extensive club offerings, including but not limited to gardening, chess & checkers, biking, recycled crafts, baking, yoga, card games, STEM, and active games.
Here is the 23-24' WNESU After-School Programs Handbook for your reference.
If you have any questions about ASP, please reach out to me.

REMIND APP - SIGN UP FOR ASP COMMUNICATIONS!
REMIND is a communication platform that helps After-School Programs (ASP) staff reach parents. Messages are sent in real time to an entire ASP group or just a single person.
Please refer to the instructions in the image to the right on how to sign up for Remind via the Remind App on a smartphone or via computer. You can sign up as a parent on Remind.com. It is important that each WNESU After-School Program family sign up for this communication service for the following reasons:
After-School Programs staff will be able to communicate to ASP households
After-School Programs will provide newsletter distribution. Example: "Sign-Ups for After-School Programs are now open ” announcements, or ASP Monthly Updates, etc.
Our WNESU district goal is to have a common platform for school-to-household communication, across programs, schools, and grade levels.
Everyone ASP household should be signing up for TWO classes (see chart below for the appropriate codes for the classes you should sign up for):

WNESU SUMMER PROGRAMS SUCCESS!
Our WNESU Summer Programs were a success! We centralized our elementary and middle school Summer Programs this summer. These were hosted at two WNESU locations: Westminster Center School and Bellows Fall Middle School.
WNESU Summer Programs provided up to five weeks of camp that offered experiential and enriching learning opportunities for elementary and middle school students. Summer Programs are an expansion of our After-School Programs and they aim to keep youth on track during the summer by providing critical support to students and families while offering a safe and nurturing learning environment.
We were happy to welcome students from BFMS, CES, SRES, GES, and WCS this summer! Summer Programs provided fun & engaging projects, opportunities to connect & build community, summer-based movement options, and experiential field trips.
The Elementary Level Summer Programs served 148 WNESU students (grades K- 6th). Key field trips were: Rockingham Rec, Claremont Opera House, Harlow’s Blueberry picking, Bowling at Yankee Lanes, Blackbeard Adventure Cove, Mini Golf, and Maple Lanes Bowling.
The Middle School Level Summer Programs served 69 WNESU students (grades 5th - 8th.)
Key field trips were: Rocking Rec Center, Echo Lake, Keene Cinema, Blueberry picking at Harlows, Bowling, and Look Park.
THANK YOU!
