Together...We are Continuing the Tradition of Excellence

How to receive your technology device:

We have exciting news! All students will receive devices in the future. However, we need your help. Please click on the links below to watch the informative video and to fill out the required parent technology agreement for your student. We will need these items done before we can release their devices to them. We will want to get started as soon as they arrive. Please check this off your list ASAP. Thanks for all of your help with this in advance. 🙂

Fall Benchmark Testing Week

This week, students will complete benchmark exams in their core classes of Math, Science, Social Studies and Reading/Language Arts. The tests are cumulative, meaning they cover material learned since the first instructional day. The data gained from these exams will help us determine each student's academic progress and needs as we design instruction for the upcoming weeks. Please ensure that your child gets plenty of sleep and good meals this week. You may also ask them to show you their interactive notebook, which is a great resource when studying for exams. Explaining the key concept on each page to a parent is a great way to review.

Week of November 16, 2020

Continue being diligent about wearing your mask to school each day. By following this safety protocol, we are able to avoid exposure to viruses, which allows students and teachers to remain in school. This is an important step in getting back to normal. You have done a great job. Now, keep up the good work.

3rd Six Weeks - Academic Focus

Teachers are continuing to plan and deliver rigorous instruction on a daily basis. Attendance each day is crucial to keeping up with the pace. Students are encouraged to show personal responsibility and individual determination by completing all class work to their very best ability, and to take advantage of a number of support programs on campus. Some are listed below. Parents can monitor student grades and register for notifications in the Tyler ISD Parent Portal.

  • Welcome back to our new Face-to-Face Learners! All students should plan to attend morning tutorials from 7:45-8:20 each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. No appointment required.
  • Students learning @home may continue to participate in weekly virtual tutorials. Times are posted in your Canvas classes.
  • Students using Canvas for the first time. Click here for a Canvas tutorial.

Mustang Round Up

In this academic support program, students will participate in intervention and extension activities each Monday, during the second half of first period.

On Wednesday, December 2, students must return their progress report with a parent signature. Students with a 73 and above in all classes may participate in an activity during the last period of the day. Students with any grades below a 73 will be given an opportunity to work directly with their teacher for extra assistance.

BUG Goals

This stands for "Bring Up Grades". Along with their mentor teacher, students set goals for the upcoming grade reporting period. Students who meet their academic goals will be able to participate in a College Colors Jeans Day on select Fridays.
