Because I Said I Would...
Each student received a promise card, a small blank business card with "because I said I would" written across the bottom. Students were asked to write down a promise that they will make and keep and give the promise to the appropriate person. When the promise is fulfilled they get the card back as a reminder that they are someone who follows through with what they say they would do.
Early next year, as a school, we are going to make school-wide promises with one another... Because RO Said We Would... and those promises are going to be prominently displayed around our school and become a unifying and positive reminder of the kind of school community we aspire to be. Today was the beginning of this movement at RO.
Ask your child what their promise is when they get home today! I would like to thank Denine Gale-Stevens for bringing this idea to my attention.

Request for Volunteers for Grade 4 & 5 Spring Concerts
We are looking for volunteers to help at the RO Spring concerts on the evenings of June 11th and June 12th at OAHS. Volunteers are needed to help students move on and off stage and to supervise groups sitting in the back of the auditorium while other groups perform. The June 11th concert is for Grade 4 and 5 Bands. The June 12th concert is for Grade 4 & 5 Orchestra and Grade 5 Chorus. For either concert, volunteers are requested to be in the OAHS auditorium by 6:30pm to be ready for the concert to begin at 7:00pm. Volunteers will be in the auditorium for the entire concert so you will be able to hear your children perform.
If you are able to help, please contact one of the following music faculty by May 25th:
Band - Mr. Chace - dchace@easton.k12.ma.us
Orchestra - Mrs. Foye - kfoye@easton.k12.ma.us
Chorus - Mr. Sandberg - bsandberg@easton.k12.ma.us
Thank you in advance for your help and support!
