Everything you need to know about computer history!
Who was the genius who invented the computer?
Charles Babbage was born on the 26th December 1791, in London, England. He was a polymath- mathematician, philosopher, inventor and mechanical engineer. He gets the credit for inventing the first mechanical computer. Babbage died on the 18th of October 1871.
Inputs
Inputs are devices which give the computer data. These are examples of input devices:
-Keyboard
-Mouse
-Microphone
There are many more input devices, but these are just a few ideas to get an idea.
Hardware
The hardware are the parts of a computer. Here are a few examples:
-Motherboard
-RAM
-ROM
-CPU
-VDU
-Power supplier
-Wireless network card
-Graphics card
-Hard drive
The motherboard is where most of the computer is.
The CPU is where most of the computer's calculations are done. It is also called the 'brain' of the computer.
This is the computer cycle.
Alan Turing
