Shadows
by Mrs. Toomey
As the sun moves across the sky, shadows move across the ground. When I checked my shadow at 9:00 in the morning the sun was low in the eastern sky. My shadow was long and skinny and pointing the opposite direction. Later in the day my shadow had changed shape and was pointing to the north, but it was short and fat. The sun was almost overhead but toward the south. I cannot wait to see what my shadow looks like in the afternoon, since I think the sun will be in the western sky.
