Millennia Bidwell & Allison Teeple
Sir Francis Drake was an English Explorer. Before he became an explorer he was a slave trader. In 1577, he was picked to lead an expedition that went through South America using the Strait of Magellan. He was also had to explore what was beyond that. When he successfully came back he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth I.
He contributed to England by capturing Spanish cities and traveling around the world. He also made several new trading routes.
