End of 1st Semester
The end of our 1st Semester is December 22nd. Here are some important things to remember as we end this semester:
December 15 - Last day to turn in missing work
December 20 - 1:15 p.m. early release (lunch served) Bell Schedule
December 21 - 12:00 p.m. early release (no lunch served) Bell Schedule
December 22 - 12:00 p.m. early release (no lunch served) Bell Schedule
December 23 - January 7 - Winter Break
Student Chromebooks
We need your help! Many of our teachers require that students use their Chromebooks every day. We need your help to remind students to charge their Chromebooks every night so they can bring them to school with a full charge which will last the whole school day. Quite a few students are not bringing their Chromebooks charged which means they need to borrow a Chromebook from their teacher or from the library. We do not have many extra Chromebooks to loan out so some students will not be able to complete their classwork during class if they don’t bring their Chromebook fully charged. Thank you so much for helping your student to have a nightly plan of charging their Chromebooks. We appreciate your support!
Breakfast Change - Important!
Beginning the second semester after our Winter Break, we will no longer be serving before school breakfast. This will begin on January 10th. We have only been serving around 20 breakfasts a day so this will not affect many students. Please remember that ALL students receive a free snack at our 9:20 a.m. break and a free lunch.
Operation Wishbook
Operation Wish Book started this week in our Boise School District! If you are able to help, please bring new, unused books to the East library to donate to the Salvation Army for children in need. We have until *December 14th* to gather the books.
Candy Grams
Candy Cane grams will be for sale on December 15th and 16th during both lunches. $1/each
Fall Athletics Uniforms
We are missing several athletic uniforms from the fall. Please return uniforms to the school office as soon as possible.
NJHS Announcements
We will have a meeting Monday, December 6th during 9th-grade lunch in the small gym. Please arrive promptly, sign in for attendance, and welcome this month's talented guest speaker, conductor, violist, and local music teacher, Jen Drake! Attendance is mandatory. Please bring your lunch to the gym with you.
Thank you to all our members and parents who are providing their time and group service to volunteer at this season's Winter Garden aGlow! Idaho Botanical Garden appreciates all your help! Signed waivers should be turned in to Mrs. Gangitano or brought to the day of your sign-up.
Lastly, to remain in good standing, please remember to turn in your completed first semester service hours to Mrs. Gangitano. Service hours acquired after the Dec. 17th deadline will go towards the second semester.

Reminder - Expectations If Your Student is Quarantining at Home
The Boise School District follows CDC school protocols when a student is exposed, tests positive, or has symptoms of COVID-19. The Exposure and Illness Decision Trees along with more COVID-19 information is available on our Boise School District Website.
If your student is quarantining at home, they are marked as “virtual learning”. Virtual learning means that students will be accessing each teacher’s Google Classroom to see what assignments they need to work on while at home if they are feeling well enough. Teachers will not be teaching via a Google Meet online while we are full-time in-person. If there is an assignment the student does not understand, they are encouraged to email their teacher for clarification. If the teacher can not explain things via email, they may set up a Google Meet to help the student with the assignment. If at any time you or your student is not understanding something, please reach out to their teacher.
