The Board of Education provides a "Board Meeting Summary" after each Board meeting. The summary includes a brief description of the main topics and action items. These summaries are not meant to replace minutes. The minutes for each meeting are approved and posted after the next regularly scheduled meeting. The following members were in attendance: Bruce Currie, Jason Loebach, Linda D’Ambrosio, Bob Bruno, Kurt Buchholz, Erica Nelson and Stephanie Clark.

- Second Half of Year
Dr. Gordon welcomed everyone back from winter break. He is excited for the second half of the year. He shared that FQC and Wight are moving along with the addition at Hadley and he is pleased with the construction progress. The addition will be available for occupancy during spring break.

- Board Policy Revisions - First Reading
Mrs. Nelson shared an overview of the legal updates per Illinois School Code being recommended. She also answered Board member questions. The recommendation will be presented for Board action at the January 21, 2019 meeting.
- 2019-2020 School Calendar
Dr. Gordon shared the overview of the proposed calendar and recommendation of the calendar committee. The Calendar Committee considered feedback from the construction management team, FQC, and changes to Illinois School Code that defines the number of school days teachers are required to attend. Due to construction, it will again be important to optimize the time during the summer, without staff or students in attendance, due to the considerable amount of construction occuring in all of our school buildings. Therefore, administration recommended a second “Construction Calendar” for consideration. The Administration will recommend the Board approve the 2019-2020 school year calendar at the January 21, 2019 Board meeting. Click here for the proposed calendar.
