Week of January 23rd
2nd Semester in Full Swing
Our 2nd Semester is in full swing. Last week we welcomed Parents in to spend time reviewing the different online platforms that your child navigates throughout the day in their classes. We provided support to show parents what they need to look for to help their child at home.
We look forward to welcoming parents for another update during our Parent Teacher Conferences that are scheduled for March 2nd from 4pm - 7pm.
Honor Club Meeting - Wednesday 1/25
The next Honor Club meeting will be held after school on Wednesday, Jan. 25th until 3:30. Students must have their own transportation home.
This meeting will discuss the upcoming trip to KVCC and a Men's Basketball Game at Western Michigan University. The $20 fee and a signed permission slip must be returned no later than Jan. 30th
6th Grade Reproductive Health
Reproductive Health lessons will begin this week for our 6th grade girls, followed by lessons for the boys the following week. Please view the letter below for more details.
February CARE Celebration - Valentine's Dance
Our Valentine's Dance is in the process of being scheduled. Students can qualify to attend by not having any discipline referrals from Jan. 23rd to the date of the dance. We look forward to celebrating excellent behavior by dancing the night away!

Building a Positive School Culture
Each week our teachers cover topics to help build our school climate and increase skills to navigate the challenges of Middle School.
This week our students will be covering the following:
6th Grade - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to apply their knowledge from the unit to promote awareness about bullying prevention at school.
7th Grade - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
- Describe their rights and responsibilities regarding harassment
- Describe the consequences of engaging in harassment to their peers
8th Grade - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to apply their knowledge from the unit to create a plan for disrupting factors that contribute to bullying and harassment at school.
