Our Vision: Every Student a Success!
Our Mission: Building Children, Character, and Community Everyday!
It's STAAR Time
We are now in the STAAR countdown phase. We will begin STAAR Camp on Monday morning. STAAR Camp is a time set during the school day to focus on strictly on STAAR strategies. During this time, students will be regrouped and may receive instruction from staff members other than their regular classroom teachers. You can also help us by ensuring that your scholar comes to school prepared to learn with the basics of pencil and paper. Please encourage you scholar to remain focused and remind them there is no time to waste.

Do Not Ask Your Children to Strive
“Do not ask your children
to strive for extraordinary lives.
Such striving may seem admirable,
but it is the way of foolishness.
Help them instead to find the wonder
and the marvel of an ordinary life.
Show them the joy of tasting
tomatoes, apples and pears.
Show them how to cry
when pets and people die.
Show them the infinite pleasure
in the touch of a hand.
And make the ordinary come alive for them.
The extraordinary will take care of itself.”

April Attendance Challenge
Attendance dropped this week to 95%. Remember our attendance goal is 98%.
Monday - 95.9%
Tuesday - 93.6%
Wednesday - 97%
Thursday - 95.8%
Friday - 91.8%
April Attendance Challenge
The first class to spell the word ATTENDANCE by Thursday will win a class party for the current challenge. There are four more days to help your child's class win this challenge. Our daily attendance goal is 98%. Let's make it a goal to have everyone present, every day this week!
Attendance Matters
Attendance is a major part of your child's academic success. Make it your goal to ensure that your child attends school all day, everyday. We need your help in ensuring our scholars are in class each day, all day. Students need to be in class no later than 8am until 3:50pm to receive full credit each day. RPM is committed to taking a multi-faceted approach; including student incentives, positive peer pressure, parent workshops and truancy submissions. As parents, we communicate the importance of school in the decisions that we make. Ensuring our students are in school each day, let them know that their education is important. This also sets them up to be responsible and productive adults who adhere to timelines and rules.
If your child must be absent due to illness or other reason, a doctor's note or written excuse must be emailed to our attendance office at: rachelfernandez@lancasterisd.org. Excuse notices must be received within three days of the student absence.

LancasterISD Mask Mandate Continues
This message is a friendly reminder that the Lancaster ISD mask mandate will still be in place upon our return from spring break. COVID-19 case numbers throughout Lancaster ISD have remained low this semester. We attribute our low numbers to individuals receiving their COVID-19 vaccinations and our mask mandate that has remained in place this school year.
We ask that parents partner with our district and ensure your student(s) arrive at school with their masks each day. To review our district’s COVID-19 protocols, please click here.
Thank you in advance for your partnership.
Move This World Family Account
We know that the events of this year have been difficult to navigate. To support our students’ social emotional needs and mental health, we are using a video-based social emotional learning (SEL) curriculum from Move This World. I’m excited to share that you’ll be able to access this helpful curriculum at home, too!
Social emotional learning is how students learn to process and manage emotions as well as important social skills. It includes everything from goal setting to stress management, and it provides both children and adults with tools they can use to express themselves authentically and safely. SEL helps students build healthy relationships, communicate effectively, and live a meaningful life.
Below, you’ll find log in instructions:

Practicing social emotional learning at home can help your students:
Process the events of this year.
Build critical social skills.
Connect with themselves and others.
Navigate challenges they may be experiencing.
Adjust to the new school year.
Move This World is a social emotional learning program delivered through an extensive online library of PreK-12 videos and resources rooted in creative expression that help students, teachers and staff develop a common language to improve communication and build trust. We’re so glad that you’ll be able to access Move This World videos and resources at home, and hope they are helpful for your student and family.

School Arrival / Breakfast
For your child’s safety, please do not drop-off before 7:30 a.m.
Breakfast is available from 7:30-7:55am. If you will for your student to eat breakfast, please ensure they arrive early enough to walk to class, eat, and clear their work space ready to begin instruction at 8:00am.
Early Pick-Ups
Please allow students to remain the full school day. If you need to pick up your child for an appointment, please call ahead of your arrival and return the note from the doctor, dentist, etc., on the next school day in order to receive credit for the day.
Additionally, students will not be released from school after 3:00 pm. Parents wanting their children will need to wait for dismissal time and follow the appropriate dismissal process.
Safe School Dismissal
Thank you for following our safe dismissal plan by using your car identification tags and remaining in your cars in the car drive. This has helped us reduce the time for dismissal significantly. Also, as a reminder, all walkers are to leave the campus immediately. We ask that anyone walking to meet a student not block the sidewalk or doorways to allow students to exit safely. You are welcome to wait at the tree by the our crossing guard.
Students will not be released to anyone from any doors during actual dismissal. If there should happen to be a change with your student's dismissal, due to emergency, our front office must be notified before 3:00p.m. Early pickups will not be honored after 3:00p.m. A notice from the appointment is also required for the student to be excused from time missed in class.
Students are dismissed beginning at 3:50p.m. Any students left after 4:10p.m. are considered late pickups. Parents or Guardians picking up after the car drive closes will need to ring the bell at the front door and follow our standard office procedures for checking out or picking up a student present valid identification.Operation Safe Tiger Return - Covid19 Protocol
Circumstances related to COVID-19 may change throughout the school year, as such, so with the response of our district. We encourage you to carefully read and review the plan regularly to remain up-to-date with changes as it relates to students, staff, and community stakeholders. Within the plan, you will find the district's expectations with regards to:
- Virus Prevention Strategies
- Health Reporting Procedures for students, staff, and visitors
- Quarantine Protocol
- Instructional Pivot Process (if needed)
