Principal's Office
Here is our Roadrunner Weekly for the week of March 4th through March 8th. What a great week we had in Roadrunner Country! 30 of our kids were reclassified as fluent English proficient; we celebrated our Perfect Attendance kids from trimester 2; our GATE Destination Imagination teams qualified for the state finals; and we just completed an amazing "Read Across America"! Special thanks to Ms. Swesey and all of the other teachers who worked with her to make "Read Across America" week so fun for our kids! Remember, reading and attendance at school are the two most important things your kids can do to promote academic success!
And speaking of attendance, we've had a lot of students out with various illnesses over the past few weeks. While we appreciate everyone's cautiousness, I did want to remind folks that unless your child has had a fever of a 100 degrees or more or has been throwing up within the previous 24 hours, we strongly encourage your child to be at school. If they continue to feel really crummy, we'll send them home. Nothing can make up for actually being at school!
Please continue to visit our teacher websites regularly to keep current on homework assignments, weekly projects, and events. Also, i-Ready is an important at home skill-building tool, so please encourage your child to continue using it for 45 minutes or more per subject, per week to stay sharp on their math and ELA skills.
Have a great!
