WISHING OUR STAFF A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY.......
Meadowlark is officially a Capturing Kids Hearts Showcase school!
Capturing Kids’ Hearts® is excited to announce that a select group of campuses have received the Capturing Kids’ Hearts National Showcase Schools® award for the 2020-2021 school year.
National Showcase Schools are chosen annually through a rigorous selection process that includes measuring key performance indicators, gathering campus data, and surveying staff and students. The results represent the implementation of CKH processes as well as the culture and climate on each campus. Capturing Kids’ Hearts celebrates campuses where educators are exceeding expectations and creating an environment where students feel safe, connected, and eager to learn. This year’s selection process began with 555 campuses and resulted in 325 awardees.
Many of these schools started the year with all virtual learning and then transitioned to other models including hybrid and asynchronous. It has been a roller coaster of a year for students and teachers but, despite the challenges, our National Showcase Schools have demonstrated what it looks like to consistently implement Capturing Kids’ Hearts processes, including the CKH EXCEL Teaching Model.
Our National Showcase School awardees have found unique ways to continue to build positive learning environments where students are excited to attend, whether virtually or in person. We continue to hear from teachers and school leaders how valuable CKH has been to them as they foster social-emotional learning, relationship-driven culture, and student connectedness on their campuses. Please join us in honoring the campuses awarded for the 2020-2021 school year!

LIBRARY NEWS
We're excited to welcome the Class of 2034 to Meadowlark Elementary School this fall!
Children who are or will be 5 years old by Aug. 31, 2021, will be eligible for kindergarten in the 2021-22 year.
Because of restrictions on in-person gatherings, we will not be having a Kindergarten Roundup in-person meeting this year. Instead, we have put together a Kindergarten Roundup slide presentation. Please view the slide presentation at the link below and be sure to complete the Intent to Register form for the 2021-2022 school year. This form can also be found on the Andover District Website under Quicklinks. Please do not complete this form if your child attended any of the Pre-K programs at Prairie Creek or Robert Martin Elementary Schools.
Please note that this form can not be completed from a mobile or tablet device.

Checking Students Out
Office staff will conduct all signing in and out of students. Parents may call to check-out students and then the student is sent out to the parent with visual identification. Checking Students In
Staff members will check students in to create a touchless system. Students need to have temperature checked before proceeding to class if they are arriving for the first time that day.
