Dear Kingsley Families,

We had a great week at Kingsley. Many students got to experience voting with someone in their family and we all made it through the time change. On Friday, we celebrated and honored all Veterans. Students and staff submitted photos of veterans in their families and our student council displayed them outside of our office. We are grateful for their service and sacrifices.

As a reminder, we have Picture Retakes on November 15th.

As of today, Kingsley Plays Together & Kingsley PTA have collected over $100,000 since we started fundraising in May! We want to thank the committee members, PTA, Playground Committee, Kingsley staff, and all the families that have pulled together.

We currently have $313,000 of the $320,000 goal. We project another $12,000 from our last few fundraisers and known donations. Thank you all for making our new accessible playground a reality!

The Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 invites the community to participate in the Grove Express 5K on Thanksgiving Day. A portion of the proceeds will benefit District 58 students! Early bird registration has been extended through Nov. 6. Learn more here. Sign up here.

We ask that all Kingsley families please be considerate of the neighbor's driveways. If you need to park your car, please do not block the driveways. Our neighbors need to be able to enter and exit their driveways as needed.

As a reminder, the parking lot is closed during arrival and dismissal. This allows district buses and vans to complete their routes. Also, for the safety of students, we do not want them walking through the parking lot with moving vehicles.

These procedures allow for the safety of our students and neighbors. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Kingsley Playground Update:

Kingsley Plays Together (Playground Committee) and PTA have joined forces. This year's proceeds support our December 2022 goal of $320,000 for a new playground.
