School Wide Celebration
All students are invited to wear their pajamas or comfy clothes as we celebrate positive behavior for 2019 and set our goals for 2020. Thank you PTO for providing hot chocolate for all students on Friday! We appreciate our PTO and volunteers for always supporting our students.
Engineering in the Classroom
Engineering in the Classroom is an exciting annual event for our 5th graders at Lincoln Trail. Our continued participation largely depends on our teachers having support from the community for engineers to come into our classrooms and help with this project. We are currently in need of several volunteers. I know this is a huge ask since it requires volunteers to have availability during the day. However, if anyone is willing to help we would love to have your help. You do not have to be an engineer or have a degree in engineering in order to volunteer. Please email Mrs. Hunter if you are interested in volunteering. mhunter@ms.k12.il.us
Lost and Found
We have numerous items currently in our lost and found. Please remind your child(ren) to check the lost and found to see if there is anything that might belong to them. We also encourage parents to check the lost and found if you attend the classroom parties on 12/20 or any day that you join us for lunch.
Other Information
- Parent Drop Off: For the safety of our students, please only drop students off between the 2 posts, not all along the sidewalk. Students will only be able to enter door by the 5th grade hallway. (This is the door closest to State Street.) Please do not drop students off in the parking lot. Unless students are part of our Kids Club program, they should not be dropped off before 8:00 a.m. This is imperative for the safety of all our students.
- Changes in Routine: If you need to make a change in your child's after school routine, please contact the school before 2:00 p.m. if possible. This will allow us time to inform students of any changes.
- Lost and Found: Did your child lose a coat? How about a lunch box? Make sure they check lost and found first! The lost and found will be emptied on the last day of the trimester, items left will be donated to our Mahomet CARES Closet.
Lunchroom Substitute Supervisors STILL Needed!
If you like interacting with the kids, and can be flexible. If you enjoy different settings, and different age groups of kids. This is what you have been looking for! We need supervisors for the cafeteria and playground during lunch hours for students. f you are interested, you can either apply through the District's website or email Mrs. Hunter at mhunter@ms.k12.il.us.
