Reminder - Chromebook Internet Usage Information and Policies
As the summer approaches, we want to encourage parents to monitor their student's online activity. All EPS chromebooks have the web filter Securly installed on them to filter and monitor content, and our network has additional firewall protection for when students are in school. All safety measures are intended to reduce student access to inappropriate content, but it is still important to be aware of your student's internet activity as no system is perfect. Many common inappropriate search terms are blocked with Securly. However, this does not evaluate the spelling of the search terms or the actual content of videos, games or ads that students may encounter. Children are naturally curious and may still come across content that is deemed inappropriate. Reminding your student of our acceptable use policy found in our K-5 Student Handbook below, can foster a discussion about what content is acceptable both at home and school. Your home internet provider likely has parental control tools and resources to help you further monitor your students' usage while in your home.

*One additional item: Please ensure your student comes to school with a charged Chromebook everyday. We are seeing a significant number of students without charged Chromebooks or who have forgotten their Chromebook at home.
Moving After this School Year?
Whether you are moving out of town, state, or within Easton, we would like to know so that we can begin the paperwork that will need to be completed. Please email Kris Moynihan at kmoynihan@easton.k12.ma.us to inform the school of your move and/or your plans for next year.
