Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Fundraiser
Central Elementary recently partnered with Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Michigan for a fundraiser for the Hero Squad to help patients with blood cancers, the most commonly diagnosed childhood cancer. This year, students and families were able to donate online and share via social media their giving generosity. Generous, caring students and families of Central have raised over $2,400 online and in cash donations through the month of April. Each in person classroom competed against each other to earn the Dominos pizza party. The winning classroom was Mrs. Carbary's second grade. Collectively, they raised over $800. They will enjoy a pizza party in the month of May. We are so proud of the families and students who put others ahead of themselves and made a difference for people with these difficult diagnoses. Thank you Central families and students for your kindness, empathy and generosity!
