Accommodations and Behavior Supports in the CTE Classroom- Feb. 9, 2022
This session is filled with best instructional practices for students with disabilities in the CTE classroom. We will explore strategies to meet the needs of all students through accommodations, modifications, and behavior supports and interventions. Participants will leave with knowledge of current regulations, and resources for daily problem-solving and collaboration.

Transcript 101- Feb. 15, 2022
Join us for an overview of the requirements encompassing high school transcripts, and a comprehensive look at compliance and best practices. Participants will receive the latest "Transcript Handbook" with note-taking pages and transcript checklists as a useful resource and guide. Navigating the process for handling transcripts in Texas can be complex and detailed. In this session, participants will walk through the updated rules and regulations for transcripts, and review necessary considerations for building both strong options for the campus and maximum opportunities for students. Participants will receive a copy of the handbook at the session.

AS+K? Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training- Feb. 17, 2022
HB 2186 mandates suicide prevention training for educators in Texas. HB 18 mandated that greater than 25% of professional development for educators includes trauma-informed best practices. AS+K? Gatekeeper Suicide Prevention Training meets both of the mandates set forth in legislation and teaches valuable strategies for helping those who maybe in need of help when dealing with suicidal ideation.

Texas High School Diploma 101- Feb. 22, 2022
Join us for an overview of the requirements for a Texas High School diploma, and a comprehensive look at possible combinations and considerations of pathways for Foundation High School Plan students as they progress toward graduation. Staffing & Master Schedule Workshop- March 1-2, 2022
Participants at ESC Region 12 will learn how to determine staffing needs early in the spring based upon student choice requests and student PGP’s. Once staffing needs are determined, participants will work through the process of how to build a master schedule of classes based upon the needs of the students and ensure they can go into hiring season knowing whom they need to hire!

Youth Mental Health First Aid- Apr. 20, 2022
Youth Mental Health First Aid trains participants how to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training includes: risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems; information on depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and addiction disorders; a 5-step action plan to help someone developing a mental health problem or in crisis; and where to turn for help – professional, peer, and self-help resources. MHFA teaches about recovery and resiliency – the belief that individuals experiencing these challenges can and do get better, and use their strengths to stay well.

CTE & The Gang (PEIMS & Counselors)- Apr. 28, 2022
Ever wonder why CTE, PEIMS, and counselors should be best friends? CTE coding, funding, endorsements, and 4-year plans is why. CTE has a part in all aspects of funding, accountability, and graduation. In this session we will discuss the new CTE automated Coding from TEA, Summer PEIMS, all reports in TSDS, Service IDs, Pass/Fail Indicator, funding turned on for CTE courses, IBC charts, Program of Studies, Transcripts, and 4 year plans.

Teen Suicide Prevention Symposium- June 16, 2022
Suicide is regarded as the "preventable epidemic" among youth in Texas and in the nation. An average of 1 person every 13.7 minutes dies by suicide in our country. The Suicide Prevention Symposium brings together educators and community members in a forum to take action and help save the lives of challenged youth through awareness, intervention, and prevention. CEU credits will be available.
