Grade 6 Information
We are now more than halfway through the marking period. This also means we are more than halfway through 6th grade! Students should be checking power school and be aware of grades. By this point in the school year, students should have improved their self-advocacy skills and be speaking with teachers about any low grades or areas they would like to improve. Mrs. Barber-Devine is also available to assist students who need to make academic improvements or need a boost in forming self-advocacy skills.
Grade 7 Information
It's hard to believe that midpoint of the marking period passed on 1/22 which means we are halfway through 7th grade, and 7th graders are halfway through middle school already! Time is moving quickly! As the 2nd trimester comes to a close on 3/6 Mrs. Funaro will continue to meet with students of academic concern. It is also important that students maintain regular attendance at school which has a direct impact on their grades. It's never to early to start thinking about high school plans.
Grade 8 Information
This is a busy month with our focus on high school planning! Mrs. DeHaan will be reviewing student course selections and helping students understand high school scheduling. All eighth-grade students were given a curriculum planning guide to review high school courses. Sheehan school counselors have already come over to Moran to explain the scheduling process. Course selection will be done at home through PowerSchool starting on February 14-22. Please contact Mrs. DeHaan with any questions.
