Mr. Corso's Message
Positive Raiders: Responsible, Respectful, Hard Working and Kind
November is Bullying Prevention Month at BMMS: We are excited to introduce our first ever Bullying Prevention Month at Black Mountain Middle. Throughout the month, we will have special homeroom lessons, spirit days and lunchtime activities related to bullying prevention. The goal of our Home Field Advantage is to make sure all Raiders feel safe and part of a community where they are supported, empowered and united. We will be sharing what bullying is, how to prevent it, and how to respond if it happens. Our culminating event will be on Friday, November 22. The spirit day that Friday will be “Team Up to Prevent Bullying.” Students can wear their favorite jersey and participate in lunchtime activities that support team work, including a Dance Battle between PUSD High School Mascots! Please join us in our work to prevent bullying and promoting kindness at BMMS.
Monday, November 11 is Veterans’ Day. No school that day.
Time Change: Reminder, that clocks needed to be changed. We fall back an hour on Nov. 3.
Coffee with the Principal: Our next Coffee with the Principal is Tuesday. Our agenda will include a student report about our No Place for Hate Conference, an update on our Collab Space and Makerspace, along with more about Bullying Prevention Month.
The First Trimester ends on November 15. Reports cards will be distributed the week after.
Book Fair is coming! Volunteers are needed before school, lunch, after school, and after Band concerts from December 6th to December 13th. Volunteers will set up fair, facilitate book sales, stock shelves, ring up purchases, and tear down the fair. Need to be Level I or Level II volunteers. A better school and a better community starts with each one of us,

We Need You! Help us raise $30k in 30 days!
We Need You! Help us raise $30k in 30 days! We are half way there! Please donate to help improve the educational experience of all BMMS students THIS YEAR.

· Support for clubs and extracurricular activities that excite and encourage our kids.
This is our once-a-year direct ask. And we can’t make this a success without your help. There are 4 ways to give:
