I.T. Monthly: February Issue
West Point Consolidated School District
The West Point Consolidated School District is dedicated to providing safe and orderly schools for all students, improving student achievement, increasing parental and community involvement in our schools, promoting the use of technology by teachers and students alike, and providing our staff with the tools necessary to lead our students to becoming productive, successful citizens in a technology-based world.
We have partnered with Linewize by Family Zone, a leading provider of online safety products and education, to create an educational hub for parents and teachers. This hub includes articles, videos, courses, and more to ensure every stakeholder understands how to keep your kids safe online.
As always, if you have comments or suggestions for improving this newsletter, or information you think needs to be included, please reach out to the IT Department.

Parent Teacher Conference Day
Blocking Youtube with Classwize
IT is seeing constant problems with this issue. Please read below.
When you create rules in your Classwize courses, please schedule the sessions to start only for the duration of when you are teaching a class. Scheduling all of your courses to run all day long (7:30 to 3:00) for an example, and there are rules created to block YouTube, will interfere with another teacher's usage of YouTube.
If you need help with Classwize or need overall training, please click the link below and fill out the form.
