Weekly Recap
Hopefully this message finds you in good spirits. Even though Week 5 seems as though it flew by, the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional learning is still with us. Kudos to Altruismo (the lime green House of Givers) for leading in points. Scholars earn points for their respective Houses by meeting/exceeding expectations. The House that has the most points at the end of the school year will receive a HUGE party, so ALL scholars should continue to STRIVE for excellence.
I would like to take this time to share that every concern that is shared with us is taken seriously whether it comes from a scholar, parent, faculty member, or community member. Once an investigation takes place, there may be information that can be shared with the reporting individual, but due to confidentiality, there are components that the individual will not know. If you have questions, please feel free to reach back out to us, and we thank you for your understanding.
If your child rides the bus, take a moment to review appropriate behavior for the bus. Items to discuss include remaining seated, speaking at voice level 1, and adhering to directions from the bus driver while meeting our campus expectations of being respectful, responsible, and safe in addition to the Longhorn Essentials.
THIS WEEK (September 17-20) IS COLLEGE AWARENESS WEEK, and "My Future is Bright" is the theme. Scholars are encouraged to represent their favorite college by wearing a college shirt or hat with uniforms bottoms September 17th-20th. Scholars may choose to represent their college of choice each day or they may choose a day.
Read the information located on below in the newsletter to learn about campus/district happenings, important reminders, news from APD and PTA, and upcoming events. Always remember that "The Race for Excellence has No Finish Line."
Question for You to Pose Each Night this Upcoming Week: How can you set a positive example this week at school?
