Alleghany County Schools: Cyberbullying Policy
Knowing that our county is going to BYOD next year, we see the need for a cyberbullying policy. Not only will we try to prevent cyberbullying, but need consequences in place for offenders.
As we communicated within our cohort, we discovered another group was creating a BYOD policy for Alleghany County. Cyberbullying is a necessary component of that policy. As we researched through active policies, we noticed that cyberbullying was mentioned in five of the more than 12 policies our county already had in place. To clarify the definition, the purpose, the consequences and actions, we culminated each existing section and formulated a more cohesive policy that fits our county's needs.
