We would like to welcome Officer Chilcote to Fredericktown Schools. He will be the School Resource Officer for the 2023-24 school year. He is a Mt. Gilead native who still makes his home there with his wife and two little girls.

Cell Phones - Students will be able to use their cell phones during lunch this year. They will not be used in the classroom in the Middle School.

Backpacks - Students will not be carrying backpacks/bags during the day. They will need to utilize their lockers during the school day.

Drop Off & Pick Up - Students may be dropped off & picked up in the front parking lot or behind the school. Please stay out of the bus loop during these times.

Knox Public Health will be at the school on Tuesday, August 29th from 9:00 to 11:00 AM KPH for tdap and meningitis vaccines. Consent form is attached below.

Required immunizations for Middle/High School:

Tdap/Td: Grade 7-12 One dose of Tdap vaccine must be administered on or after the tenth birthday.

MCV4 (Meningococcal): Grade 7 One dose of meningococcal vaccine must be administered on or after the tenth birthday.

Grade 12: Two doses of MCV4. Second dose on or after age 16 years. If the first dose was given on or after the 16th birthday, only one dose is required.

If you choose to not have your child vaccinated, an exemption form needs to be filled out and turned in by August 31, 2023.

We are excited to bring back the Washington DC trip to the 8th grade. This is an optional trip for students. It will be a great learning experience along with creating exciting memories together.
