PCMS WEEKLY UPDATE
January 19, 2018
It was kind of a weird week - seems like we just came back from our 2nd Winter Break! Here’s a look at what’s coming up … have a great weekend!

Car Rider Reminder
Please remember that students who are morning car riders should be dropped off in front of the school (east parking lot) beginning at 7:15am. This is especially important this time of year with the cold temperatures. When dropping your child off in the morning, please have them get out of the car as soon as you pull up alongside of the curb. We ask that you don’t wait until you’re in front of the door, as this slows the line a great deal. Once you drop your child off alongside the curb, you can pull out to the left and exit the parking lot - as we do during the afternoon pickup. We hope this will make the morning drop off safer and more efficient. Thank you for your help with this!
School Board Appreciation Week
Monday, January 22, 2017 -- Friday, January 26, 2017 is School Board Recognition Week...and our board members certainly deserve recognition for all of the countless hours, hard work, and dedication they put into making PCR-3 such an excellent district! Please help us in thanking these dynamic individuals for their commitment to our district and its students!

FLU Reminders from the Platte County Health Department
Promote regular hand washing among children particularly after handling used tissues or using the restroom and before eating or preparing food. Hand washing is the best way to prevent the spread of communicable disease!
Keep your children home from school if they have a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting, until at least 24 hours after symptoms end.
Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched environmental surfaces and equipment as well as high-traffic areas: Frequently touched surfaces include, but are not limited to, commodes, toilets, faucets, hand railing, telephones, door handles, computer equipment, and kitchen preparation surfaces.
After throwing up or having diarrhea, immediately clean and disinfect contaminated surfaces.
