A Message From Ms. Saenz
Hello Cubs,
Reminder:
If you have any books from your previous school (Kiker, Baranoff) please return them to Bear Creek and I will make sure the librarians receive them. Both Kiker and Baranoff are missing many books and some of our cubs have them at home. Let's help return them so that other students will have the opportunity to read and enjoy them.
Thank you all!
Ms. Saenz

A Message From Ms. Schultz
What a beautiful weekend! Hopefully everyone was able to get in physical activity time while soaking up some vitamin D. Our K-2 Cubs had a lesson on pedestrian and bicycle safety last week; maybe they had an opportunity to put what we learned into action over the weekend ;-) Thank you to Kelly, Rhonda, and Jaci for helping to keep our Bear Creek Community safe!!
This week we begin working on our new skill unit of hand and foot dribbling while having conversations about the importance of sleep (K-1) and stress management (2-5). Remote learners will need some kind of ball/object that will bounce in order to practice our hand dribbling. Please reach out to me if your family needs assistance with providing that equipment. Almost anything can be used to practice foot dribbling.
A few examples aside from a ball include:
- sock or paper balls
- stuffed animals
- pillow
- beanbag
Student expectations, rubrics, learning resources, and previous lessons for current units are always posted on the grade level PE BLEND Pages. I have updated all PE BLEND Pages to reflect our fourth quarter material.
Fourth quarter PE grades will come from:
- Participation
- Volleying (we didn't get the assessment in during the 3rd quarter, so that's how we started this nine weeks)
- Hand Dribble
- Foot Dribble
- Sleep / Stress Management
FitnessGram will be included in most lessons this nine weeks. Click on the BCE FitnessGram Website button below for more information on FitnessGram.
Please continue to use the PE BLEND Courses as your first source of information regarding PE, and message me through Blend or email with any further questions. Each grade level PE BLEND Course is linked below.
Thank you for your continued support!
Ms. Schultz
