This week, I gave students two additional days to submit completed versions of their fact cards as I was out of the classroom twice last week. Afterwards, we began working on our Opening Statements. The statements are five paragraph essays that argue in favor of or against the research question students received. The outline for opening statements is available on Google Classroom, and each student is required to turn in one Pro opening statement, and one Con opening statement.

7th Grade Math
This week in math Group 4 finished up expressions and will be starting on Equations. Group 3 will be testing on expression on Tuesday. Group 1 & 2 will be finishing up expressions and hopefully testing the week of February 11th. Please help your student stay on track with their math work by having them complete about 60 minutes of math assignments at home per week. This can be split up between days or completed all at once. Google classroom has information on what assignments are due for the week.
