Parents Needed to Help with Lunchtime Recycle Program

Cannon School is beginning a composting effort in the cafeteria and hoping to find a few willing parents that could help oversee lunches. The process of separating waste may be confusing to some of our younger students. Parents can support by helping them slow down and figure out how to separate landfill, recycling, and compost material. The group that is taking our compost has made it real easy: basically anything that is organic, including our brown plates and bowls, can be composted.

We need your help to make this a success!

Volunteers are needed Tuesday, January 19 – Friday, January 29.

If you can come help out ANYTIME during the next two weeks during the lunchtime hours, 11:30 to 1:00, please email Marcia Brashear.
