Robert Hunter Report
Dec. 19, 2021
Dec. 19, 2021
Dear Robert Hunter families,
This year is going by so quickly! We are looking forward to a great last week of 2021 at RH!
We have some great school events planned for next week. We will have a whole school assembly led by 4th graders in Mrs. Ashey’s and Ms. Cuzzola/Mrs. Pinto’s classes. This assembly will connect with our whole school read aloud book, The Lost Package, and will focus on showing kindness to others. We would like to thank our PTO for providing carpet squares for students to sit on during assemblies!
We will have a music performance day on Thursday, with different grade levels performing for each other in our hallways throughout the day. Thank you, Ms. Alexanderson, for organizing this event!
Some of our 4th grader student council members have planned a school service project to send cards to members of the military. Classes are also planning fun winter celebrations to end the week!
As a reminder, December 23rd is our last day of school before break and is an early dismissal. The Robert Hunter office will be closed during winter break. School will resume on Jan. 3.
We wish everyone a happy winter break and a wonderful new year! We are looking forward to coming together again in 2022!

We wish Mrs. Eleene Gallagher all the best as she enters into retirement. Mrs. Gallagher has been a speech teacher at RH for 16 years, and she has had a wonderful impact on our school community! We will share more information soon about our new speech teacher, Kelly Robertson.
We also wish Ms. Heather VanFleet well as she embarks on a new professional adventure. Ms. Van Fleet has been an ESL and mindfulness teacher while with us at RH. We will share more information soon about our new ESL teacher, Jimmy Quinn.
Please continue to send in healthy snacks with your child daily. Should there be a need for food assistance, please reach out to administration or our school counselors.
From Mrs. Cunniff, our School Nurse
Attention all Winter Celebration parent volunteers! A big thank you to you all for helping to make our school celebrations more fun and vibrant. The children love seeing their parents and classmates parents helping out. As you all know community spread of COVID has been increasing. If you have had a known exposure or you’re not feeling well-or have even mild symptoms (even if you’ve been fully vaccinated or have tested negative within 7 days) I ask that you stay home. I can’t thank you enough for helping to keep ALL the children and staff members safe and healthy in our building.
