Book Speed Dating
Mrs. Gossett's class spent a day participating in "book speed dating". We discussed what you need to look for in a book in order to decide if it's a perfect match for you. Students started with one book, took some time to examine it, and then switched to a different book until they found their perfect match. Many of the students left the library with books they were very excited to read.
Mrs. Thompson's GT students kicked off their individual author study this month. We showed them a presentation with their choices, and they all got to study one of their top five choices. They spent a couple days in the library researching their authors and figuring out which literary works they want to read by their author.
Class and Individual Student Visits
63 classes visited the library this month! There were 41 classes that came in for circulation, and 22 that came in for some type of research or reading promotion activity. According to the sign in sheet, 924 individual students visited the library during December.
