Good evening Foothill Community, Welcome to October!

Within this newsletter you will find a variety of information to stay informed. There will be a special study session our School Board will be hosting next week regarding what reopening may look like. This will be a learning session, not an action meeting. Please click on the link below for the District site for the times on Wednesday, October 7.

On Saturday, October 10 the City of Walnut Creek is hosting its annual Community Service Day. This year will be one big food drive for the Contra Costa/Solano County Food Bank. PFA will be staffing volunteers between 9-12 in front of the school to collect any donations. See the list of most needed foods below.

Links are included from the County to get information about air quality, resources, ways to prepare for power outages, and the fire season we're in the middle of.

Make sure if your student has questions to reach out to their teacher. Office hours are offered daily and students may make arrangements for questions, clarification, support, and more. Our counselors are available as well.

Friday, October 9, 2020 at 8am will be the next Virtual Visit with Vaiana. I'll share the link on Monday in the Griffin News section of the Website. This is an opportunity to check in--look forward to seeing you.

Appreciatively serving as your principal,

Mrs. Vaiana
