The J-List

May 21, 2021

JES Families, can you believe we've made it to the last week of school? There have been ups... there have been downs... but through it all, we have stuck together as Dragons and have made it through! We are looking forward to celebrating with students next week with graduations, clap-outs, and parties. It's going to be a great week! ~ Dr. Moses

Medication Pick-Up

Please pick up your child's medications from the clinic. All medications must be picked up by an adult. No medications will be sent home with a student, and no medication will be "held over" for next school year. All medications left in the clinic after dismissal on the last day of school (5/27) will be destroyed. Thank you, from Nurse Lampley.

Not returning to CISD?

If you are not planning to return to CISD next year, please fill out the Summer Withdrawal Form and email to as soon as possible. Thank you!

End-of-Year Activities for Kinder & 4th

We are excited to invite you to the Kindergarten class/4th Grade Graduations. Due to limited space for social distancing, each child may have two guests attend graduation. Parents will enter the cafeteria from the outside door wearing a mask. Please use social distancing during the ceremony. Due to students not being 6 feet apart, students will be seated in the front while wearing a mask. Students may take off their mask when crossing the stage to allow for pictures. After the ceremony, parents will be able to join the students on the playground for pictures and guests/students are permitted to remove their masks outside if desired.

4th Grade Graduation: May 26th, 9:00 - 10:00 am

Kindergarten Graduation: May 27th, 9:00 - 10:00 am

If you are taking your child home after graduation, please let your child's teacher know in advance so we can pre-check them out and have everyone accounted for.

You may park in any of our parking lots, in our car loop (the big one), in the mosque parking lot across the street, in the church parking lot off Highland, or along N. Carroll Ave. *fully* off the street and facing the correct direction.

4TH GRADE CLAP-OUT: May 27th, 11:00 am

4th Grade Clap-Out is an annual tradition at JES. Students will line the hallways to "clap out" our outgoing 4th grade class. Parents will not be allowed inside the building, BUT, we are going to line the bus loop with parents of 4th graders for our grand finale for their clap-out. We hope you will join us. If you are taking your child home after Clap-Out, please let your child's teacher know in advance so we can pre-check them out and have everyone accounted for.

Virtual students are welcome to participate in these activities as well:)
