First Day of School is September 5!

We are so excited to see all of our Park students again but please do not drop off your child before 7:40 am as there will be no supervision. If your child is eating breakfast, he or she may enter the building from the gym doors located on playground and go directly to the gym.

Our New Literacy Program!

The Being a Reader program is a beginning reading curriculum designed to help all students master the foundational skills and strategies required for reading success at grades K–2. Being a Reader is designed to help our teachers meet your children where they are academically, to support their social development, and to create a collaborative classroom environment.

Making Meaning for grades 3-5 deliver lessons that integrate instruction and practice in reading comprehension strategies and vocabulary with activities that foster students’ social, emotional, and ethical development. Teachers use read-aloud trade books, articles, and selections for discussions, cooperative structures, guided practice, and Individualized Daily Reading-(IDR) to create a supportive community of readers.

In the 2016-17 school year we implemented Being a Writer in which our children learn to love writing, want to be very good at it, and grow through the grades as writers, thinkers, and principled people.
