Chapter FFA Meeting

We will have PESH FFA Chapter meetings once a month in Mr. Ivy's room, B3-107. Our meetings will start at 6 PM and will typically end around 7:30-8:00 PM. There will be a theme for each meeting, so be on the lookout for more information to come.

Our February chapter meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 28th. The parent's Booster Club meeting will be held simultaneously with the chapter meeting. We hope to see you all there!


The time for CDE season is here! Currently, the CDE teams we have at PESH are as follows:

Mr. Harrison: Wildlife and Poultry

Mrs. Thoms: Vet Med, Dairy Judging, Nursery/Landscape

Mr. Ivy: Horse Judging, Floral Judging, Dairy Foods

Mr. Love: Entomology

Mrs. Snider-Bowie: Livestock Judging

Ms. Abernathy: Meats Judging and Farm Business Management

Career Development Events (CDE's) are an opportunity for students to build on what is learned in agricultural classes and encourage FFA members to put their knowledge into practice.

If you have any questions about CDE's, don't hesitate to reach out to an ag teacher.

Texas FFA Scholarships

Each year, Texas FFA awards more than 140 scholarships to outstanding graduating seniors through its academic scholarship program. These scholarships are awarded based on academic and FFA achievements as well as the member's performance in an interview process.

The Texas FFA Scholarship application opened on January 13th and will close on April 19th.

San Antonio Livestock Show

Many students from PESH FFA will be exhibiting their livestock projects at the San Antonio Livestock Show this month!

The show dates for each species are as listed below:

  • Steers: Friday, February 24th
  • Market Lambs (Southdown, Fine Wool, Fine Wool Cross): Tuesday, February 14th
  • Market Lambs (Medium Wool): Wednesday, February 15th
  • Breeding Lambs: Saturday, February 11th
  • Goats: Tuesday, February 14th
  • Pigs: Sunday, February 19th & Tuesday, February 21st

From Monday, February 27th to Friday, March 3rd, we will be celebrating PESH FFA Week. During this week, the chapter will be hosting various events to celebrate and advocate for Agriculture and the National FFA Organization.

Currently, the events for the week include:

  • Chapter FFA Meeting & FFA Apparel Day
  • Petting Zoo during lunch
  • Camo dress up day
  • Artistic FFA Symbol Contest

Collin County Livestock Show 2023 Results

Congratulations to all the students who exhibited their livestock project at the Collin County Livestock Show in mid-January! After working hard for several months to prepare their project for show, these students did an awesome job showing their animals!

We Need Your FFA Photos!!!

The chapter now has an icloud folder and a Google-Drive folder for FFA pictures! Make sure to get with an officer or advisor ASAP to get added to the drives. We need any chapter/member pictures for various events throughout the year and for our end of year banquet!
