MCCHS 60th Anniversary Postponed
UPDATE
Dear Alumni,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire Marian Central Catholic High School community as we navigate through these uncertain and unprecedented times. Our hearts go out to all those impacted by COVID-19 – this includes not only those diagnosed with the virus, but also all those whose jobs and lives have been impacted.
Marian Central Catholic High School has been carefully monitoring its upcoming events and has made the difficult decision to postpone our 60th Diamond Anniversary event on Saturday, April 18 at the Starline Factory. Our staff, families, alumni, and supporters, along with their health and safety, are our first priority.
Our committee has worked tirelessly on this event, and we look forward to sharing the fruits of their labor with you at a later date. While we don’t know exactly when that will be due to the uncertainty of the situation, we are considering dates in late summer or early fall. Marian Central's mission of providing Catholic education to all who seek one is more important than ever. Our teachers are redesigning what school looks like and finding ways to connect with our students in a digital way. We feel confident that by sticking together and supporting each other, we will come out of this stronger than before.
Our Spiritual Director, Father Twenty, reminds us, “In our trials, we can easily fall into doubt. We look around us and it seems like our experience, senses, and logic all tell us that Jesus is not by our side, not guiding us, not protecting us. But, by faith we know, 'in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose,'(Romans 8:28). No matter what happens, the Lord is in our midst.”
