A Child Called "It"

C. Survival Techniques
" I broke the cycle and became a father whose only guilt is that of spoiling his own son with love." I chose this passage because I felt it was a very important passage to close the book on a good note, because it was so full of violence that a calm heartwarming passage like this would end this book off perfect.
Pages 152-153"I no longer had the will to carry on. I felt as if I were a man on death row, not knowing when my time would come." I choose this passage, because it showed how he was basically desperate and was acting as if there was no reason to continue on or live, but he still ends up surviving.
