WHS digital learning norms
Families should notify the WHS attendance line with accurate and timely information regarding student absences.
Students should use Canvas to complete instructional activities assigned by teachers within the expected timelines. Students should participate in check-ins, discussions, and other communication mechanisms as expected by the teacher. If an activity is not able to be completed remotely and does not have an alternative assignment as a possibility, students should email their teacher to coordinate a time outside of class (Advisory Travel ELO, Student Success Center, etc.).
Students should review teacher feedback in Canvas and complete any follow-up activities as assigned by the teacher.
Students and families should proactively notify their teacher, a school administrator, or a school counselor with any concerns about progress or additional support needed.
Families should support students in being successful by establishing routines and habits that support their success in at-home learning.
Families should ensure that students are adhering to their school’s contract for appropriate behavior on web-enabled devices.
WHS School Store
Windsor High School is proud to launch the WHS School Store, an opportunity for the community to purchase student-made items. This cross-curriculum collaboration provides students the opportunity to participate in a real-world business through hands-on classroom application. Online shoppers can purchase a variety of items, including floral centerpieces, Adirondack chairs, metal license plate frames, take-home meals, and much more — all tailored to the customer's specifications in the WHS Innovation Center. Revenue from the store will fund student scholarships. The WHS School Store is made possible by a $20,000 startup grant from the OtterCares Foundation. The store is open now! Go to www.whs.weldre4.org and look for the School Store link.
