President’s Message for April & May
Dear Members,
Our Chamber continues to work very hard to keep you informed. Behind the scenes, our board has advocated with our state and federal delegation for more PPP funding to support our small businesses.
We continue to be a resource for your business. You can email or call with ideas, ways we can support you, questions about programs, concerns, and more.
The Chamber is very excited to announce that we are launching our online networking series this month. Our Brown Bag Lunches will be online, starting in June. We will be offering Virtual Happy Hours and Zoom Presentations on key topics. Stay tuned for flyers and dates!
Contact us if you would like to present a topic of interest. This is a great opportunity to promote your business and share your expertise with our network. Priority is given to current members.
I am proud that our Chamber has been very proactive on your behalf from the very start of the economic downturn. On February 28, members of our board met with Senator Van Hollen of Maryland to discuss the potential impact of COVID-19 on small businesses. Read the article in the BBJ. By March 12, we had a business resource page on our website. On March 19, we created and distributed a Guide to Local Restaurants with Delivery & Curbside Options to 4,000 contacts. We have also shared this list with Baltimore County for their interactive map.
Lastly, we want to thank our members. Your membership dues and sponsorships enable the Chamber to continue to operate and support our businesses and community. We can't do it without you.
A rising tide lifts all boats. Together, we will lift each other.
