From the desk of Dr. Harrell
May 9, 2022
I hope each of you had a wonderful weekend, and it is hard to believe we only have today and two more Mondays left in this school year. These three weeks will be action-packed and will move quickly. For the testing grades, you have done a great job, and I am confident our students will perform exceptionally well – Thank You!
I hope each of our mothers had a ‘Special and Happy Mother’s Day. I also hope you were able to spend time with your mother or talk to her, or reminisce about her. I do hope you had a blessed day!
With Mother’s Day and Teacher Appreciation Week falling so close together, I couldn’t help but think how often the work we do in education puts us in a position to be that positive influence on our students. The job you hold does not matter; bus driver, food service, custodian, teacher, paraprofessional, administrator, or any other position within our educational family. You may find yourself in a maternal role. In thinking about that role or calling that may emerge and find yourself in, I can’t help but think about the Teddy Stallard story. Many of you have probably heard the story; however, if you are like me, every time I listen to it, it brings heartfelt emotion and always seems somewhat timely. I’ve included the link below. I hope you find time to view it.
Thank you for the Work you chose to do!
Have a Wonderful Week!
I believe in U!
Stay Loyal and True!
Always Rep the U!
