CR West Week 7

To Know God and Make Him Known

Have you noticed?

"To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under Heaven"

Ecclesiastes 3:1

I went to Ikea on Friday, and there they were...Christmas decorations! Wreaths and lights and ornaments...oh my! I love anticipating the celebration of the birth of our Savior, but I wasn't quite ready yet to see Ikea in all its holiday fanfare. I do, however, appreciate the reminder that we are switching gears from harvest time to Christmas time, and I need to decide what I want the celebration of Thanksgiving and Christmas to look like for my family. As moms we often set the tone for these next two months more so than any other time of the year. For example, will we travel for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays or stay home? Will we host a meal or be a guest somewhere else? How much money will be spent on presents? How much school do we plan to accomplish in December? These are just some of the questions that we'll address over the coming days and weeks. I would encourage you to begin to think of these things now so that you and your husband can plan together for what you want this season to look like. Prioritize what is important to you this year and how this year might look different than years past. Thinking about these things now will help us to slow down and enjoy the season even more later.

Looking Ahead

Family Presentation = Schwarzentraub Family

Playground duty = Amy & April

Speech topic = Show us how to make or do something (How-to)...this topic can take extra time especially for the older kids, so your child may not present this week depending on how many kids get through their presentation. Students can plan for 5 minute presentations.

Coffee Talk

I gave Epiphany Church a $50 gift card for coffee and coffee supplies. If you'd like to contribute towards this gift card please give your donation to me directly. Thank you!
